Overview
Hilton's own-brand hotels in Taiwan are concentrated in greater Taipei: Hilton Taipei Sinban in Banqiao, Humble House Taipei, Curio Collection by Hilton in Xinyi District, Hotel Resonance Taipei, Tapestry Collection by Hilton at Shandao Temple, and DoubleTree by Hilton Taipei Zhongshan in the Zhongshan Station shopping area. Outside Taipei, Hotel Beore Sun Moon Lake and The Old England Manor in Cingjing, along with Grand Victoria Hotel in Dazhi, are all members of SLH (Small Luxury Hotels of the World). They can be booked through Hilton's membership program but are run by their own operators.
The Taipei hotels work well as a base, with your private charter setting off from the hotel each day. The Sun Moon Lake and Cingjing hotels are more out of the way; slot them in for a night in the middle of a central Taiwan trip and let the charter drive you right to the door. Charter
All four Taipei hotels are near MRT stations, so pickups and drop-offs at the hotel entrance are all you need. Parking rules vary by hotel, so whether the charter vehicle can park there depends on what the hotel confirms.
Sun Moon Lake and Cingjing are not on the HSR line, so getting there on your own means switching to intercity buses. A common plan is to set off from Taipei or Taichung by private charter, stay at Hotel Beore Sun Moon Lake, continue to Cingjing the next day to stay at The Old England Manor, and finally head down the mountain back to Taichung. Your luggage rides along in the car, with no hauling it onto buses.
